Make’n’Movies at Loft 104!

Bring your hobby. Watch a movie. Make memories.

Make’n’Movies is a weekly Saturday evening gathering in May, for makers, movie lovers, and memory-makers. Bring whatever you’re working on — crochet, knitting, sewing, sketching, journaling, beading, embroidery, collage, writing, planning, or any other hands-on hobby — and settle into the loft for a cozy night of creating in community while we watch a movie together.

The name is a little play on words: we’re making things, watching movies, and hopefully creating the kind of night people talk about later as “a movie.”

Each week, we’ll screen a feature film along with select short films by local, Canadian, and/or melanated directors. The goal is to create a relaxed, welcoming space where people can work on their creative projects, discover new filmmakers, enjoy a low-pressure social night, and leave with something made — even if that “something” is just a good memory.

A cash tea, juice, and snack bar will be available throughout the evening.

This is a casual, community-centered event. Come alone, bring a friend, or come with your whole maker circle. You do not need to be “good” at your hobby to attend. You just need something you enjoy making, trying, practicing, or returning to.
