About this Event
Learn how to sew a sustainable triangle tote bag and take away your own bag created from textile industry surplus or end-of-roll.
In this workshop, you will select your main material from a choice of sustainably sourced end-of-roll, end-of-line and deadstock fabrics from leading manufacturers and brands. You'll then select a handle finish to compliment your bag.
You will be provided with everything you need to make the medium-sized chic triangular tote for everyday use.
This project is ideal for working with end-of-roll fabrics as it uses a simple rectangular piece of fabric.
We recommend that participants come with some basic sewing machine skills but you will be guided through the workshop to finish your piece.
All materials and machinery are provided. Participants will also learn more about sustainable solutions for industry 'waste' materials.
The workshop will be held at Yodomo's studio at the Textile Reuse Hub, Hackney Wick.
