About this Event
Join us:
The River Wandle has a rich history as the beating heart of local craft and industry - most famously as the home of William Morris's textile factory. As part of London Rivers Week 2026, we are hosting a free, linoprint workshop to celebrate the river and its creative legacy.
This event is aimed at people aged 16 and above. Younger people are welcome but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times and this activity may not be fully age appropriate.
What you'll do:
- Carve your own William Morris inspired floral linoprint tile - we'll provide templates for you to use and adapt.
- Print your design and take your tile home with you (to keep or gift to a loved one)
- Spend the afternoon making by the river - no previous experience required.

Charlie N will be hosting this event.
Charlie is a Volunteer and Engagement Officer at South East Rivers Trust who’s work focuses on our Chalk Steams in the City project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Charlie is a wildlife lover, nature photographer, wellbeing facilitator, and creative artist. Through holding nature connection spaces for people from marginalised backgrounds, their work weaves creative practices with wellbeing to build reciprocal relationships between communities and the natural world. They love providing people with foraged materials, art supplies and the confidence to draw inspiration from nature whilst nurturing a community of people and wildlife. In their spare time, you’ll find Charlie somewhere scenic, connecting with the land through photography, collaging, painting and the occasional spontaneous sketch.
