MAKATON Level 3 (2 Sessions)

This is a 2 day training course, the second day is Friday 12th July at 09:30-13:00 hrs.

**Please note attendance at both sessions is mandatory to complete the course**

Previously part of the Sign Symbols Enhancement Workshop, this workshop is an advanced course for staff that are using Makaton every day and have established signing skills.

Aims:

• Revise the signs and symbols learnt on Levels 1 & 2

• Learn the signs and symbols for Stages 5-6 of the Core Vocabulary

• Improve and develop signing and symbol skills

• Learn translation skills using signs and symbols

Ideal for:

Teachers and support staff in Early Years/Foundation Stage, mainstream, partnership and specialist inclusive learning centres who support children with communication difficulties. Participants must have completed Levels 1 and 2 or the Foundation Workshop prior to attending Level 3.

Please note that our training courses and workshops are designed to be interactive, to ensure participants get the most from the session. With this in mind, we ask that you check to ensure that both your camera and microphone are working prior to the course.

Please note each person attending the training needs to purchase an individual ticket. Several participants may join the training from the same device but each participant must have purchased an individual ticket. Additional participants who have not bought a ticket are not allowed to sit and watch the training, either in or out of the camera view. Additional participants in the room, who have not purchased a ticket, will be asked to leave.
