Individual's MUST attend each session in full and must complete a quiz/ evaluation for each session. Individuals must pass the weekly quiz with a 70% or above to pass. Individuals must pass each quiz in order to receive a certificate of participation.

CE's will be available for Social Workers, and Health Facility Administrators.

Only paid, registered individuals have the ability to receive CE credit for this event.

No partical credit will be provided.

The Institute for Excellence in Memory Care/ Alzheimer's and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana (98001107A) has been approved by the Indiana State Board of Health Facility Administrators to provide 6.0 CE for this event. Institute for Excellence in Memory Care, #1713, is approved to offer social worker continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Institute for Excellence in Memory Care maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: (6-14-2023 to 4-14-2026.) Social workers participating in this course will receive 6.0 General continuing education credits.

In accordance with the Federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will never knowingly solicit, nor will we accept, personally identifiable information from users known to be under (13) years of age. If an institute with students that are under thirteen (13) years of age uses our services, the educational institute may provide us with personally identifiable information about its students. We use that information to provide the services to the educational institution and its students.

We are the owner and / or authorized user of all trademarks, logos, service marks, and trademarks (collectively the “trademarks”) on this site, and is the owner or licensee of the content and/ or information on the site. 11. Hassle-Free Cancellation Policy

If you contact the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana at 1-888-303-0180 at least 48 hours before the event date, you will receive a full tuition refund.

12. Grievance Policy

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, and the Institute for Excellence in Memory Care seeks to ensure equitable treatment of every person and to make every attempt to resolve grievances in a fair manner. Please submit a written grievance to: Institute for Excellence in Memory Care, 111 Sunnybrook Ct. South Bend, IN 46637. Grievances will initially be directed to the training instructor. Grievances would receive, to the best of our ability, corrective action in order to prevent further problems. 13. Miscellaneous

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction or terminated in accordance with the Termination provision above, the invalidity or termination of such provision shall not affect the validity of the following provisions of this Agreement, which shall remain in full force and effect: “Intellectual Property,” “Communications to Zoom Hub,” “No Warranties,” “Indemnification,” “Termination of the Agreement,” “CEUs,” and “Miscellaneous.” Our failure to act on or enforce any provision of the Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of that provision or any other provision in this Agreement. No waiver shall be effective against us unless made in writing, and not such waiver shall be construed as a waiver in any other or subsequent instance. Except as expressly agreed by us and you in writing, this Agreement constitutes the entire Agreement between you and us with respect to the subject matter, and supersedes all previous or contemporaneous agreements, whether written or oral, between the parties with respect to the subject matter. The section headings are provided merely for convenience and shall not be given any legal import. This Agreement will inure to the benefit of our successors, assigns, licensees, and sublicenses.

14. Your Rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below. Training Levels: Which training is right for you?

The Institute for Excellence in Memory Care wants you and your staff to have the tools to succeed in the ever changing Memory Support field. This is why are committed to provide cutting edge, high quality memory care training for you and your staff.

In order to provide the best experience for you and your staff, we have determined the levels at which our training content and materials are developed and presented.

Beginning: Beginning level courses may provide an introduction to a content area and may include information about a particular condition, treatment method, or issue. Learning objectives involve learning and comprehending content. Courses are appropriate for new graduates or individuals who have recently changed fields of practice.

Intermediate: Intermediate level courses provide information that builds on knowledge practitioners with some experience already have. These courses focus on skill-building or adding knowledge, possibly following a brief overview of basic information. Learning objectives involve using information in concrete situations and understanding underlying structure of the material. Courses are appropriate for individuals with a year or more experience in the relevant field of practice

Advanced: Advanced level courses provide content for participants who have been working in the content area and have a clear understanding of the issues. These courses cover and address the complexities involved in the work. Learning objectives involve synthesizing material to create new patterns or structures or evaluating material for a specific purpose. Courses are appropriate for individuals with several years of experience in related work. Level of education may be relevant in cases such as advanced clinical skills training.

Due to a growing need, healthcare providers and community members are entering the memory care market. To stand out, professionals must distinguish themselves and their staff by having the skills necessary to provide exceptional care with impeccable standards.

This Basic Level, 6-hour educational event will give professional learners the knowledge to impact the quality of life for those living with dementia.

This class meets the basic requirement by the Indiana State Department of Health for dementia training for all direct care staff.

Individuals with CMCP, or QMCP certifications are not eligible for CE hours for this event.

  • Communication: The Essence of Relationship
  • Behavioral Expressions: Respond -vs- React
  • Joining Their Journey- Person Centered Care
  • Activities of Daily Living
  • Abuse in Dementia Care: Identify, Respond, and Prevent

Location: Virtual Class

  • Participants must attend classes in full in order to have the ability to receive CEs.
  • This course cannot be divided between individuals. The same individual must attend full day.
  • Refunds will not be provided for days /hours participant was unable to attend.
  • Registration ticket is for (1) individual only.

This is a basic level education event.
