Mae Miner will visit City Lights on Saturday, March 21st at 3:00pm to share her new book, Stories from the Nurse In Me and the Writer In Me to Tell.The book is divided into 4 sections. Part 1, A Career in Nursing, is non-fiction and covers 59 years in the profession. Part 2 features four works of fiction about strong women over coming difficulties. Part 3 includes three essays and ten poems.
Mae Miner spent 56 years as a nurse and has been writing for many years; her work in hospice care has been a particular influence. Mae writes poetry, non-fiction and fiction, and is the author of Pastor Beloved: Finding the Spiritual in Religion.
