The LWHS Head, Heart, Hands EIB Series is an exploration of how dialogue, art, and action can advance equity and inclusion in education.
About this Event

This evening will center on a screening of the documentary , weaving together storytelling and arts- and wellness-based experiences as we explore thoughtful masculinity and gender socialization. Participants will be invited to engage emotionally and reflectively with questions of care, vulnerability, and belonging.

This year, Lick-Wilmerding High School is launching the inaugural Head, Heart, Hands EIB Conference Series—a multi-part exploration designed to deepen our shared understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging as essential to learning, community, and leadership. We invite students, educators, families, and Bay Area community partners to join us in conversation, reflection, and skill-building through the lenses of identity, justice, and community care.

Building on years of evolving EIB work—naming inequity, amplifying historically marginalized voices, and honoring the multiplicity of lived experiences—this series offers an intentional structure for ongoing learning that invites curiosity, courage, and connection. Grounded in our mission to develop the head, heart, and hands of learners, the series unfolds across the school year through three guiding tracks:

  • Head: Conversations with thought leaders, authors, and activists
  • Heart: Film screenings and arts- and wellness-based experiences
  • Hands: Interactive workshops centered on creativity, practice, and activism
