Westminster Music Library welcomes pianist Shubhan Iyer for a free lunchtime concert in a relaxed environment. All are warmly welcome at this event.

Shubhan Iyer is a concert pianist, accompanist and educator based in London. He studied a Bachelor of Music at the University of Huddersfield with Sally Ann Macleod, finishing with a first-class honours and class valedictorian. Following a competitive auditioning process, he has also received offers to study at conservatoires in the UK, including Trinity Laban and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He also won a scholarship to study at Chetham’s International Piano Summer School, studying with concert pianists such as Pete Donohoe and Tessa Nicholson, and is a prize winner of the Craxton Memorial Trust in 2025.

As a pianist and recitalist, Shubhan has performed at various venues across the UK, including the Southbank Centre, Dartmouth House, Huddersfield Town Hall, St Stephen’s Walbrook, St Lawrence Jewry. He debuted as a soloist with the University of Huddersfield Chamber Orchestra in 2025 and has a busy season upcoming with recitals all over the UK.

A keen educator, Shubhan is now based in London where he divides his time between teaching and concertising, with a great passion for exploring more music in various contexts.
