Gabriel Liu, 14, is a cellist at Camberwell Grammar, studying with David Berlin and Rachel Atkinson. In 2025, he attended Cello-Akademie Rutesheim, where he was selected to perform in the solo concert. He was also awarded 2nd prize in the Strike a Chord chamber music competition. In 2026, he served as Associate Principal Cellist of AYO’s Amadio Chamber Orchestra and a member of its flagship orchestra. This performance will include J.S. Bach’s Cello Suite No. 4 and Elena Kats-Chernin’s Wild Rice.We hope you can join us! Entry by donation.

About our Lunchtime Concert Series:
A series of lunchtime concerts was launched in April 2013 to encourage city workers and others to come into and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Cathedral during the day. These weekly concerts at 1pm on Wednesdays provide fine music and space for contemplation in the midst of a busy week.
