About this Event
Young children come into our classrooms with rich language experiences that shape how they learn, connect, and grow. This training equips child care professionals with best practices for supporting English Language Learners (ELLs), highlighting the cognitive, social, and academic benefits of developing confidence in multiple languages. Participants will explore practical, classroom-ready strategies to honor and reinforce children’s home languages and cultures while intentionally building English skills that support Kindergarten Readiness.
Educators will also gain confidence in creating inclusive environments that support all language learners—even when they do not speak a child’s home language. This interactive session provides realistic tools, family engagement strategies, and actionable ideas to help teachers build a strong, culturally responsive network of care for every child.
