Menu:
- Zaatar flatbreads with beet hummus and tahini - Homemade sourdough flatbreads topped with vibrant beet hummus, speckled with earthy za'atar, drizzled with creamy tahini, and adorned with edible flower petals.
- Gougère Sandwiches with smoked salmon, onion, and capers - A gougère is a gruyere cheese puff that bakes hollow like an eclair. They will be finger sandwich size and filled with lox, shaved red onion, and capers.
- Roasted baby veggies (carrots, turnips, radish, baby potatoes, golden beets, broccolini) with tapenade and labneh - I will choose a very colorful assortment of baby veggies and they will be perfectly roasted in EVOO and seasoned with Maldon salt. The labneh (strained yogurt) will be schmeared on a platter and sprinkled with tapenade (olive paste). The veggies will be arranged on top with edible flowers and tender herbs to sprinkle over top.
- Spiced Mixed Nuts - Sprinkled here and there!
- Ricotta (Almond ricotta) board with pears, pistachio, honey, and herbs - Nondairy (almond-based) ricotta cheese spread onto a board or platter, topped with multi-colored sliced pears and finished with crushed pistachios, a drizzle of honey, edible flowers, and tender herbs.
- Paleo Financiers - Little French almond cakes adorned with flower petals.
About Bee:
Brittney (Bee) McKinley is the Creative Director and Founder of Contained Stems, Certified Trauma-Aware Breathwork Coach, and the world’s first Floral Wellness Designer. She is a poet, yogini, meditator, and wellness advocate, deeply committed to showing others the holistic benefits of flowers beyond their aesthetic beauty. She is also proud to serve as an Executive Contributor and Thought Leader with Brainz Magazine, where she shares insights on wellness and personal growth.
Inspiration is everywhere. After being furloughed from her corporate career, she discovered the healing power of intentional practices with flowers, which became essential in relieving her anxiety, depression, grief, and imposter syndrome. She learned that nature’s resources could help her heal her mind, body, and spirit, and today, she's grateful to educate clients on the science, philosophies, and properties of flowers that energetically and aesthetically transform spaces.
