About this Event
This is a free, six week, online MastHERR Class for women that have experienced adverse childhood experiences (traumatic childhood experiences), hosted by HERR Health and Research, a public health, non profit community based organization.
This MastHERR Class is for women seeking to heal from past trauma, reconnect with self-love, and find peace.
Are You Stuck in Survival Mode?
Take a moment to reflect—do any of these statements resonate with you:
You experience persistent emotional and physical exhaustion, where even basic tasks seem overwhelming.
You often feel a heavy weight or sense of being stuck, as if something or someone is holding you back from reaching your full potential, even when you can’t pinpoint exactly why.
You notice recurring patterns in your relationships or with money—such as choosing partners who don’t meet your needs or struggling to save—leaving you feeling trapped in cycles you can’t seem to break.
Achieving goals and working hard keeps you going, but deep down, you feel unfulfilled or disconnected.
You frequently feel anxious, as if something will go wrong if you relax or let go.
You avoid sharing your feelings because you don’t want to be a burden or fear judgment.
Your self-worth feels tied to others’ approval, money, your physical appearance and you often question if you’re “good enough.”
You struggle to trust people fully, feeling the need to always have a backup plan or escape route.
Despite being accomplished, you feel as though you’re just “getting by” emotionally.
Relationships often feel one-sided, and you find yourself giving more than you receive.
You have difficulty resting, feeling guilty or unproductive if you’re not doing something “useful.”
Fear of failure or rejection stops you from pursuing new opportunities or dreams.
You put on a “mask” in social settings, hiding your authentic self to avoid vulnerability, feeling as though revealing the real you might lead to judgment or rejection.
It may be your time to heal and begin moving toward a life filled with love, peace, balance, and fulfillment.
What You’ll Experience
Each week in Love & Survial offers not only a safe space for reflection but also powerful opportunities for growth. Through guided exercises, personal challenges, and supportive group interactions, students will:
- Deepen Your Self-Awareness: Gain clarity on how trauma and toxic stress have shaped your perceptions, choices, and relationships. By recognizing these patterns, you’ll unlock new paths toward healing.
- Build Resilience: Learn and practice tools to manage stress, reframe negative thoughts, and cultivate a sense of peace and stability. These skills will empower you to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease.
- Reconnect with Faith and Spirituality: Our sessions will help you lean into faith, embrace God's grace, and rediscover the spiritual resources available for your healing journey. Replacing fear with faith can open up transformative possibilities.
- Strengthen Your Community Connection: Connect with other Black women on similar journeys, forming bonds of support and understanding. You’ll realize you’re not alone, and that healing can be a collective experience.
By the end of this workshop, you’ll feel more grounded, more compassionate toward yourself, and more empowered to create a life where love, not survival, leads the way.
