Young children spend many of their waking hours in childcare centers. Outdoor play for children encourages movement and physical activity stimulates children's learning. Children learn by exploration, so outdoor spaces must be designed in such a way that children can test their abilities in a challenging yet safe environment. Attend this learning event for the 4-hour Playground Safety course approved by the NC DCDEE, discuss rules and regulations, and create outdoor play and playground safety in accordance with 10A NCAC 09 .0605 and .1102 (e). Participants will attend 3 hours online and complete 1 hour of assignments on their own time that are submitted to the instructors within one week following the course to receive the 4 CHC. Limit 20 participants
