Tom Bird (they/them) is a Dundee-based writer and poet, and performer in poetry-music duo, 2 Stoned Birds. Frequently autobiographical and honest, there is a warmth and hopefulness to their spoken word poetry. Tom reflects on autistic lived experience and trans identity out loud, while holding attention for the quietly fantastical. In 2022, they were the recipient of the Creative Non-Fiction award and Jury Prize at the SMHAF Writing Competition. In 2023, Tom won the title of East Coast Champion at the Loud Poets Slam East Coast Heat. This year their poetry film ‘Creature That Breathes’ has been exhibited at Neuk Collective’s members exhibition in Edinburgh and at Pittenweem Arts Festival. Tom Bird was a shortlisted spoken word poet for Scottish Book Trust’s New Writers Award 2023/2024, and their first poetry pamphlet ‘Creature That Breathes’ will be released January 2025.
RJ Hunter (they/she) is an award-winning performance poet and writer based in Glasgow. Known for pieces ranging from razor-sharp to delightfully silly, Hunter's blistering performances have seen them travel the UK with her debut solo show 'Stupid Sexy Poem Show.' Hunter’s debut collection ‘Flustercuck’ was released in 2023 and they became Loud Poets Grand Slam Champion in the same year. The following year, they were named runner-up at the Scottish Slam Poetry Finals.
