About this Event

"Late Stage Mythology" is the latest body of work from Grammy-nominated artist and designer Matthew Curry. Drawing inspiration from humanity’s timeless urge to extract pattern and meaning from the world around us, Curry’s narrative explores the cause-and-effect relationship between our perception and the invisible forces shaping our reality. Through complex layering and a rich visual language, his work invites the viewer to engage with the full timeline of each piece, revealing an intricate web of interconnected moments and ideas.

Artist Statement

My work explores humanity’s innate drive to find patterns and meaning in an attempt to make sense of the world. I am fascinated by the instinct to control chaos—how we impose structure on the unknown, seeking order in the unpredictable. Through my art, I engage with existential thought experiments, questioning the nature of reality and our perception of it. Each piece is an invitation to reflect on the tension between structure and disorder, between certainty and ambiguity. By embracing these paradoxes, I hope to spark curiosity and contemplation about the ways we define and interpret our existence.
