About this Event
Lost Boyz SBYD programs focus on recreating, educating, and cultivating youth by enhancing their interests, skills, and abilities. Year-round services are further grounded in Sports Based Youth Development, which has clinically shown that youth who participate in organized sports have significantly improved outcomes in discipline, self-respect, teamwork, healthy habits, emotion management, and healthy relationships with peers and authority figures.
Lost Boyz utilizes the benefits of team sports as a foundation, with additional services to provide opportunities that improve academic performance, develop personal relationships and sense of community, experience cultural enrichment and increase participation in rewarding social recreation. For example, baseball is more than a game when connected with positive and constructive activities, it allows for the socialization and character development that are critical to reducing violent behavior or violence victimization.
