The Hindu Samaj of Hamilton and Region cordially invites you and your family along with your friends to join us for Abhishekam (Anointment) for Lord Venkateshwara at 10:00 AM every 4th Saturday of the month.The schedule for this pooja includes the following rituals:
• Suprabhata Seva
• Mangala Snanam
• Visesha Aaradhana
• Panchamruta Abhishekam
• Alankarana
• Venkateshwara Ashtothram (108 Mantras Chanting)
• Prasad Nivedana
• Mantrapushpam
• Satmorai
• Mangal Aarti
• Tirtha Prasadam
Lord Venkateshwara Swamy Pooja is followed by Navagraha Pooja which starts with Shani Dev Ashtotar followed by aarti. Depending on time Navagraha Pooja maybe done before the Suprabhata Seva.
Abhishek of Lord Venkateshwara is performed with water, milk, yogurt, honey, fruit juice and turmeric paste. Abhishek is followed by alankar with new vesti for Lord Venkateshwara and new sarees for Sree Devi and Bhoo Devi. Idols are adorned with flower garlands. Fruits and prasadam are offered after that.
Items to bring to the Abhishekam by an individual family or group of families sponsoring it:
1) Garlands for the idols
2) Loose flowers
3) Prasadam
4) Milk
5) Fruits
Suggested donation for Abhishekam:
Individual family: $51
More than 1 family is welcome to sponsor Abhishekam
Families who sponsor vestis and/or sarees can get the item back at the next abhsihekam. Temple will provide the vestis and sarees.
