Silent Auction of the artwork on artilllery shells.
Author and film-maker Phil Strongman spent much of the 1970s, '80s & '90s photographing fashion and youth cults in London as well as capturing the musicians and artists who were struggling to break through - although photos were then a hobby Phil's work appeared in the Evening Standard, Vox, The Face and iD. A book about his years as a teenage designer, 'Acme BOY', will appear in Spring 2025 but a few draft copies will be for sale on the night.
In Ukraine the struggle for freedom - artistic and political - has morphed into a deadly war against Russian aggression. Talented Ukrainian artist Tetyana Frey encapsulates these dramatic times with unique art objects which are actually created from the artillery shells used to attack her homeland. This is her first West End exhibition.
Participants will have a chance to take part in the of the artwork on artilllery shells. You'd be able to start bidding on your favorite auction items from 9 am on Friday, 1st November. The auction closes ..... guess what?! Right!!! It closes on Tuesday, 26th November 2024 at 9 pm, and London4Ukraine participants, i.e., YOU will be celebrating the auction's finale !!!
The legendary Khlopy Band will play an acoustic 30 minute set of Ukrainian music.
London4Ukraine will feature the invigorating Flat Red by Vadym Granovskiy along with a Welcome Drink and Light Refreshments.
The proceeds will go towards the purchase of an evacuation vehicle for the war zone in Ukraine.
