About this Event
Hosted by Froglife's London Blue Chain team, this training session will cover all of the basics you need to know about urban wildlife ponds. Included in the session will be:
- Information and advice on how to look after and maintain wildlife ponds through the seasons
- Guidance on how to survey, record data and report back to Froglife on the status of your pond
- Research findings and examples of good management practice from other pond sites in London and the impact that this has had on species abundance
Whether you're a regular volunteer with Froglife, keen to get involved in the future or just curious, everyone is welcome at this session. No previous knowledge or experience is required.
We hope you'll leave feeling inspired to create, look after or become more engaged with wildlife ponds in London. These 'biodiversity bombs' remain one of our most precious and important habitats and require our help more than ever so that they can achieve full impact for people, wildlife and planet.
Doors from 5.30pm, event starting at 6pm.
