Lola Flexen is a young Scottish pianist from Edinburgh. She studied at St Mary’s Music School before reading Music at King’s College, Cambridge, where she graduated with First Class Honours and was elected a Scholar on three occasions. She went on to complete her Master’s degree with Distinction at the Royal Northern College of Music, where she was awarded a scholarship at entry. Blending a passion for academic music with performance, Lola has a particular interest in unearthing hidden gems of the piano repertoire and championing works by underrepresented composers.
Lola performs across the UK as a soloist and collaborative pianist, and has appeared professionally at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall among other prominent UK venues. Alongside her performing career, she is an enthusiastic teacher and currently teaches piano at Westminster Cathedral Choir School and Greenwich Music School
