About this Event
Join Eddie Ephraums and Matt Maran for an inspirating day of photography, picture editing and printmaking at Hampstead Heath and at Eddie's home studio.
This unique workshop offers the chance to connect with nature through photography, and leave with a beautiful hand-made, A3 print chosen from an enlarged contact sheet.
Open to beginners and keen amateurs alike, the workshop provides guidance on photography, developing ideas, shooting a selection of images and printing. Too often, photographs linger, unseen on hard drives – this hands-on practical workshop takes you through the process of making a contact sheet, reviewing the images and selecting one to process and print.
From intricate details of the woodland environment to wider landscapes of Sandy Heath's unique and historic landscape. This location offers endless inspiration for creative photography.
- Photography at Sandy Heath
Sandy Heath is rich in photographic opportunities, from the flag iris ponds and hollows created by Victorian industrial sand extraction, to the regenerated oak and beech woodland. You’ll receive guidance on both the technical and creative aspects of photography. We’ll encourage you to explore a theme based on your own particular interests, to help develop your skills and vision. - Printmaking at Eddie’s Studio
Back at Eddie’s home studio (just a five minute drive away), we’ll download your images and together we will shortlist 20 for each person's A3 contact sheet that we will then print. This will be followed by a group contact sheet review/discussion session in order to select a stand-out image from each person's selection that we will process and print.
