For: directors, actors, and designers
How can we give objects life onstage? How can we transform props into characters? How can we give images power? Join director Lucie Dawkins, as she brings her training with Russian directors to ignite your imagination about finding life in every physical resource that you have at your disposal in rehearsal. This is a session about how simple physical things can fire up life in performance. Whether you a director, an actor, a designer, a film-maker, or a writer, this workshop will empower you with tools to turn cardboard into gold.

ABOUT LUCIE DAWKINS
Lucie is a director and the Co-Lead of SCRUM. She is an associate for Cheek by Jowl, and recently collaborated with Declan Donnellan on his new book, The Actor and The Space. She produces and hosts Cheek by Jowl's podcast 'Not True, But Useful...', and teaches at the Barbican and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Lucie trained at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale as the Cullman Scholar in Directing. When she's not in the theatre, you'll find her curating digital projects in museums.
