Live Your Divinity: Wearable Art by The Aviatrix is a display of archetypal crowns, masks, body jewelry, and garments by Michelle Palmer (aka The Aviatrix). When you don a crown, something magical happens to your entire persona - you claim your power, your radiance, a more elevated and embodied You - with a sense of playfulness. The qualities, archetypes, themes, and symbols in a crown will determine what comes through you when you wear it - therefore, these magical accessories can be powerful tools for self-actualization. AviatrixNYC crowns allow the wearer to expose facets of their inner world that they might not otherwise have an outlet for.

The Aviatrix incorporates deities, historical figures, animals and fantasy creatures, archetypes, energetic presences, symbols, and more into her empowering bespoke creations. Her materials include luxury fabrics, up-cycled antique and vintage jewelry, natural and found objects, stones and crystals, flowers, trims, metal, and more. Visitors are welcome to try on the crowns and receive design sketches of what their own unique "power crown" might look like.

About the Business

was raised in Oregon, and spent years living in Europe and New Mexico, and has been in NYC for 16 years off and on. She has been creating wearable art since she learned how to hand-sew at 10 years old.

On December 21, 2012, after five years as a bored housewife in the English countryside, she attended an "End of the World" party in the circus underbelly of Brooklyn. Her life changed when she witnessed the creativity around her, and she instantly began creating wearable art that turned her wild inner landscape into her outer reality. Friends and acquaintances began requesting their own unique creations, and AviatrixNYC was born.

Michelle has an extensive background in the fine and performing arts, including drawing, painting, sculpture, garment design and creation, theater, dance, and voice; as well as yoga, nutrition, and Ayurveda. She has taught classes at East Village Hats, privately, and online. She has been an exhibitor and award recipient at the National Arts Club Bonnet Bash. Her pieces have appeared in shows at the House of Yes and Paradise Club NYC.

Michelle's inspirations come from psychedelic and visionary art, archetypes, historical figures, deities, vintage/antique style, and more.
