LIVE-STREAM CEUs: HCBS Final Rule Beyond the Basics PART ONE

About this Event

Join us for a one-time opportunity to earn 10 approved continuing education units in two days! Attendees will be present from 8 AM to 6:30 PM.

*This course is scheduled to be a live-stream webinar, which means that it counts towards 10 of the Administrator's live training hour requirements.

- Instruction on how to conduct at-least-weekly "Resident Council" meetings

- Information, support and inspiration on modifying your Program Design to align with the HCBS Final Rule

- Cultural humility

- Person-centered staffing

- Trauma-informed HCBS support

- Positive behavioral support and its relationship to person-centered support

- HCBS-friendly meetings

- How to actively educate individuals and support teams on rights, consents and grievance policy

- Working without words: Individuals who do not currently use words to communicate

- Menu and food support for individuals

- Demonstration of sample forms and workflows to support and guide staff as they engage in daily practice (templates may be sold under separate cover)

Participants must meet attendance requirements in order to obtain certificates of attendance, and remain actively engaged throughout. No exceptions or substitutes are available due to CEU approvals. Enhanced Behavioral Supports Home (EBSH) and Community Crisis Home (CCH) teams in California - who now need CEUs on person-centered, culturally humble, trauma-informed and positive behavioral supports.

- Agency consultants are enthusiastically invited to attend, especially if they contribute to assessments, report writing, meetings and HCBS-heavy activities.

- Those who have a dedicated device, and can participate without distraction or simultaneous duties.

- Folks who are wondering how to modify their PROGRAM DESIGN OR REPORTS to be more HCBS-friendly. We will also be sharing the table of contents from a current, approved program design so that you can see some recommended structures.

This course meets requirements towards the CEU types below. Please read carefully for those that are still pending, as there is no guarantee of approval.

Approvals: We will send completed certificates out via EMAIL within 48 hours of course completion. It is each user's responsibility to ensure that the names used on registration are legal first and last names and not nicknames, as this data will be used to generate certificates. It is the responsibility of each participant to verify the accuracy, spelling or display of participant names when extracting registration data.
