About this Event
The Twisted Spine is so excited to welcome screenwriter Charles Brice and a talented cast of actors for a live reading of BLOOD GOSPEL.
About BLOOD GOSPEL:
After a ski trip ends in a brutal tragedy, an ex-hustler turned delivery driver begins to experience terrifying changes back on the block. As he struggles to understand his transformation, he discovers he’s being hunted by the community’s beloved pastor, who has a secret agenda of his own.
Blood Gospel confronts themes of systemic oppression, hypocrisy within religious institutions, inherited violence, and the struggle to reclaim agency in a world that profits from suffering. At its core, the story asks: just because you are subjected to violence, does that mean you must let it define you?
Charles Brice is a writer, filmmaker, and professional actor who has worked in the industry for a decade. A lifelong horror fan, Brice recognized the absence of a contemporary werewolf story rooted in the Black experience and set out to create it himself.
