Step into the flow of an embodied movement and dance experience to shake off the holidays and reconnect with your heart, mind, body, soul and community. This is an experimental container to truly allow yourself to explore what you need in the moment with sound, movement, breath, and dance practices that will help you meet that need. Maybe your body needs slow, gentle movements after a stressful time with family. Maybe your body needs to shake off some stress. Maybe you need contact and connection with other humans. Maybe you need to let your voice be heard after being silenced in the milieu of family conditioning. Maybe you need to write a new story through dance. Maybe you need to offer up a movement prayer. Maybe you need some grounding. Maybe you need to bring in some joy. Maybe you need play and silliness. We are ready to guide you through embodiment practices and a sound journey to let you fully be free from the constraints of this world and connect to your true essence.
Matthew Stackowicz will be creating a flow of embodiment, movement, breath, and dance practices to help you tap into what you need in each moment while Apostle Grosso creates a live looping musical journey to deepen each experience. We will then move to a full flow dance jam with live looping music to expand the container into a journey of full authentic expression and contact beyond contact dance.
We are going to get silly. We are going to get weird. We are going to get playful. We are going to get expressive. We are going to go deep. We are going to let the music take us to the places our bodies and souls need to go. We are going to free ourselves from the confines of the holidays and cocreate a magical experience that transcends this earthly realm.

*CBC is a Dance and Healing practice to discover your true inner voice, to create honest and genuine connections with other people, and find a clear enlightened purpose in life. CBC integrates Authentic Movement (AM), Contact Improvisation (CI), Passing Through (PT) with profound practices and philosophies such as qigong, yoga, healing modalities, principles of behaviourism, mindfulness, leadership skills, Buddhism, Hinduism and Taoism and all human senses for a holistic integration of the body, mind, heart and spirit.

*Please be on time and plan to stay for the whole practice to create safety for the container

**Introducing Apostole grosso - Musical Mindset
Meet apostole Grosso, a dynamic musician and sound healer known as Musical Mindset. Blending live looping techniques with a rich array of instruments—including the darbuka, native flute, jar harp, didgeridoo, and his own voice—Paul offers a unique and immersive sound healing experience.
Rooted in his Greek upbringing, apostole began his musical journey at the age of 10, drawing inspiration from his cultural heritage. Beyond his musical talents, he serves as a sound healer and ceremony facilitator, dedicated to personal growth and transformation. Born in Chicago, he guides individuals through diverse practices such as movement, cacao ceremonies, hápe ceremonies, and voice and drum classes.
For apostole, music is more than creativity; it reflects his life experiences and serves as a bridge to connect with others. He inspires people to embrace their true selves and embark on their unique journeys. Get ready to be inspire
Matthew Stackowicz is an embodiment alchemist weaving breath, visualization, movement, shamanic devotion, reiki, somatic awareness, and dance into all he does. He hosts regular men’s circles, dance practices, shamanic journeys, retreats, and community embodiment endeavors in Chicago, Indiana, and around the world. He gently and artfully guides others into connecting with themselves, others, and the divine in deeply held sacred containers where people can explore the intricacies of their heart, mind, body, and soul. His hope is to connect people to their fullest truth, authenticity, and expression to bring about the healing that this world desperately needs. He is a level 3 Contact Beyond Contact facilitator (teacher Van Legakis), Shamanic Reiki practitioner (teacher Angell Deer with The Healing Sanctuary), and breathwork facilitator in training (teacher Kaya Leigh of Sacred Breath Academy).
