About this Event
Beneath the sweeping branches of Charleston’s Angel Oak, Da’Gullah Rootz delivers a powerful live performance rooted in Gullah Geechee heritage, blending rhythmic drums, rich vocals and storytelling. But this is the Office of Cultural Arts first film, a live recording that captures more than a concert. It’s a living celebration of culture, resilience and deep-rooted tradition. This accessible offering will be made available for live streaming so that music lovers far and wide can be a part of the Piccolo Spoleto Festival from the comfort of their homes. Those who visit Charleston can see the premiere at the theatre at the Cannon Street Arts Center, OCA’s new headquarters.
