This October, embark on a distinctive musical voyage of experimental Jazz and progressive fusion excellence.Piotr Lipowicz, the leader, guitarist and composer of this eclectic trio, guides and experimental jazz experience, weaving emotive melodies with simplicity, authenticity and without pretension. In the second part of the evening, Josef Kowalsky will showcase new material resulting from his search of a fresh sound, heavily inspired by djent and math rock, yet still circling around the jazz idiom.
Live at Our Place is a series of monthly intimate concerts by Treehouse NDSM's musicians-in-residence. Our industrial Pavilion building will be turned into the musicians' own living room, tuned each time to their own particular style and vibe. We invite you to our place, grab a drink, sit on the couch (or dance!), and enjoy the tunes that our talented community is working on during their stay at Treehouse NDSM.

ABOUT PIOTR LIPOWICZ
Based in The Netherlands, Piotr is an emerging guitarist and composer in the contemporary European music scene. In his work, he strives for simplicity and focuses on creating and experimenting with tender melodies and soundscapes. His aims is to lead his audience through an array of unique moods. He flavours his soulful, elegant and tradition-inspired sound with the inventive use of fx pedals. His music has often been described as eclectic, soulful, elegant, atmospheric and tasteful.
Aniol Torrents : Aniol is a Spanish electric and acoustic bassist based in Amsterdam. His unique ideas and sound fuel a ton of groups around the city and beyond, ranging from dreamy pop to a very lucid contemporary jazz.
Aurel Violas : French drummer Aurel Violas benefits from a solid rock background, an academic jazz training, and a broad and elaborate sound palette. These features allow him to blend in with a variety of experimental musical projects and with artists from all around Europe.
ABOUT JOSEF KOWALSKY
Josef Kowalsky is a progressive fusion project led by Amsterdam-based bass player Marta Golka. Their music is a collision between intricate rhythms, mellow harmonies and improvisation, forming gripping musical landscapes. Their sounds show influences from a variety of different genres such as jazz, progressive metal, pop or Carnatic music. Ben Wendel, Tigran Hamasyan or Animals as Leaders are their main sources of inspiration. The name of the band was inspired by the main character of Franz Kafka’s iconic novel The Trial.
The band released their debut EP "Flares" in October 2023 and a single "Kelpie’s Dance" in April 2024. Both releases got positive reception and appeared on several Polish radio stations including a.o. Radio Nowy Świat (New World Radio) and Radio Opole.
