We bring together two diverse acts: a piano & ritualistic concert, and a nostalgic journey through Ukranian folktales.
About this Event

For this edition of Live at Our Place, we bring together Anima Lab and Kristina Kovaleva, guaranteeing a unique (partly) ritualistic concert you will not forget.

Anima Lab (Daria Fedorchenko) will present “Harmonies of Heaven and Earth”, an interactive piano concert and ritualistic walk-through from the materiality of our body to the ethereal spirit-world. With a layered programme featuring composers such as Handel, Mozart, Scriabin and Gubaidulina, this musical experience will also include sound journeys, breath work, vocal exercises and meditations to connect with each other and through our subtle bodies.

Kristina Kovalyova will delight the audience by presenting her new project “Hristya v Namysti”, an album about nostalgia and profound moments of change. Its music is woven from memories, Ukranian folks songs, lullabies, and fairy tales told to her by her grandparents.
Time: 20h30-00h (doors open at 20h)
Price: 10€* / 2€ with Stadspas**

ABOUT ANIMA LAB (DARIA FEDORCHENKO)

Daria Fedorchenko (Anima Lab) was born into a family of classical musicians and she started to play the piano naturally at the age of 3. For her, music was the first language, and often she would translate words into it and vice-versa. She studied piano performance at the Conservatory of Oviedo (Spain), and later at ArtEz Conservatory in The Netherlands, where she also participated in numerous art projects and created interdisciplinary performances. After her graduation she began experimenting with different concert formats, searching for a way to bring stillness and authenticity to the stage. For her, music is never a means of entertainment but a tool to express beauty and awaken the love that awaits latent in the center of our human condition. To bring back the presence of the audience, she plays, integrates, and expands her knowledge of mystery schools in her performances, in order to sublimate the collective experience.
