About this Event
Join us for a fascinating tour of Lissan House through its wallpapers. We will begin in the ballroom with an illustrated talk discussing historic wallpapers in Ireland and how they were made, before taking a tour through the house discovering some of the beautiful historic wallpapers that adorn its walls.
This tour will be led by renowned wallpaper specialist David Skinner. David produces traditional hand-printed wallpapers from his studio in County Leitrim, and also provides conservation services for historic wallpapers. He is author of Wallpaper in Ireland 1700–1900, and has given many talks on aspects of the history of wallpaper in Ireland.
