About this Event
Line/Break is an exploration of the relationship between your choices on the page & their landings on the hearts, minds & mouths of readers. Across 4+ hours, participants will be guided through the various functions at the disposal of poets when considering how a piece sits on a page, and specifically,
where the poet chooses to stop you
-r attention, and encourage you to think.
You'll learn about common practices and not only analyze, but actively rework and reimagine select pieces of poetry to help you apply these tactics to your own work. All participants will be asked to bring at least one poem of theirs that they are interested in preparing for a page -- whether on web or in print -- which we will work on collaboratively with the group.
A full agenda, preporatory and optional readings, and more will be with each participant by the beginning of November to prepare for an engaging, connecting, and fruitful Sunday.
