We all know gardening is good for you - but with one in three households in England renting, how can gardening be made accessible, affordable and achievable for renters in London?
Join our latest Urban Gardening Club where we will be talking tips and tricks for making the most of your space, with the landlord’s approval, with garden designer, Zoe Claymore.
In this conversation we will be looking at:
- opportunities to garden, even if you don't have an outdoor space.
- considerations and limitations for rented homes.
- how you can boost biodiversity, even in a small space.
- the best plants for your space.
- how to take your garden with you when you move.
There will be plenty of time to ask questions, plus join us for a drinks reception after the conversation where you can explore the RHS Lindley Library's collection and purchase a copy of .

Speakers
Zoe Claymore - Zoe Claymore is a garden designer and expert on gardening for rented and small spaces. In 2023, as well as being recognised as one the RHS's Horticultural Heroes, she won a Gold medal, Best in Category and People’s Choice Award for her show garden at Hampton Court: The Wildlife Trusts: Renters‘ Retreat. Event Details
Doors open at 6.00pm, with the conversation beginning at 6.30pm.
Tickets for this event are required, with the ticket cost supporting the RHS Lindley Library. Some tickets will be available on the door. RHS membership not required.
