About this Event
At a time when the state of our rivers is seldom out of the national news, author, naturalist and activist Dr Amy-Jane Beer will explore themes of water, wildness and connection arising from her Wainwright Prize winning book; The Flow (Bloomsbury 2022).
She will also discuss her campaign work with Right to Roam and the ways responsible access to land and water in England and Wales is a first crucial step in healing our broken relationship with the more-than-human world and building a culture of care that challenges us to ask not simply how we can harness, exploit or control rivers, but how we might serve or partner them.
Refreshments will be kindly provided by our hosts at Robert Bird Group.
