About this Event
You’re warmly invited to an evening celebrating the 10th anniversary of Sadler’s Yard being named in honour of James Sadler - the pioneering aeronaut and innovator whose spirit of curiosity and experimentation continues to inspire the neighbourhood today.
Join NOMA, Material Source, and BOBO1325 for a special collaborative workshop where you’ll be guided through creating your own fabric lantern using pieces from the ongoing collection in honour of James Sadler. This hands-on experience invites you to explore texture, colour and form, transforming carefully curated fabrics into a beautifully soft, while artist BOBO1325 shares the inspiration and thinking behind the designs.
Marking a decade since the yard took its name, this immersive evening celebrates creativity, new beginnings and the imaginative energy that defines the space. As we step into spring, expect soft light and thoughtful design.
We’ll provide everything you need:
- A curated selection of fabrics
- Lantern-making materials and guidance
- Fairy lights to illuminate your creation
- Drinks and nibbles throughout the evening
This event is directed at anyone working in design, architecture and related creative spaces, offering an opportunity to explore the kinds of materials and works that exist within Material Source.
