Join us for an intimate evening of food and storytelling from acclaimed Iraqi Jewish Artist, Cook and Writer Linda Dangoor.
Linda is the acclaimed author of “Flavours of Babylon” and “From the Tigris to the Thames”, two much-loved cookbooks where she blends treasured Baghdadi recipes with moving personal reflections on identity, memory, and belonging. During this evening event, Linda will draw on her rich culinary heritage and expertise to bring to life flavours from the middle east and beyond.
Come along to enjoy a live cookery demonstration of some of Linda’s favourite vegetarian recipes, followed by a shared meal with wine, taking place throughout our beautiful museum spaces. The evening will conclude with a book signing opportunity.
Come hungry – for food, for stories, and for a taste of living history.
ABOUT LINDA DANGOOR
Linda Dangoor is a designer, painter and ceramicist. She has worked in the design field for many years, both in Paris and in London. She came to food writing in 2010 as food has always played an important part in her life. The love of it pushed her to explore and write about the flavours and recipes of her Baghdadi heritage. The result was a cookbook called “Flavours of Babylon”. Thereafter, Linda became involved in food demonstrations for different charities and a documentary on an Iraqi Passover for the BBC with Giles Coren.
