Immerse yourself in the stunning surroundings of the Fitzrovia Chapel, a resplendent central London sanctuary for healing, originally created for nurses, doctors, staff and patients at Middlesex Hospital so that they may have a moment of calm, reflection and prayer.
For this special program of Lie Down and Listen, entitled ‘A Deep Resonance’, you are invited to fully immerse your entire being in the physically sonorous sound of the cello played by Royal Philharmonic lead cellist (and Royal College of Music alumni) Naomi Watts.
While lying down on soft individual mattresses, you’ll allow your gaze to be drawn to ornately gilded ceilings as you experience a soothing, energy shifting repertoire of masterfully executed classics that include the Bach Solo Cello Suites. This unique combination of sound healing alongside the visually resplendent neo-Gothic architecture of the chapel, complete with intricate mosaics and stained-glass windows, will illicit an inspiring environment of unparalleled awe – evoking that ever more important sense of peace, calm, healing and reflection.
Unrivalled acoustics, stunning architecture and a tranquil atmosphere. We look forward to welcoming you to ‘A Deep Resonance’.
NHS Staff Tickets: As a thank you to the work of the NHS staff who continue to support our own health and wellbeing, we’re offering 10 x £10 tickets per session to nurses, doctors and NHS staff so that they too can receive the benefits of care, rest and support which they give so generously each day. Simply present your identification on the day.
