What Is Greatness When There Are No Boundaries?
As we begin a new year, many of us are encouraged to “go bigger,” “do more,” and “be everything to everyone.” But what happens when our idea of greatness is shaped by over-giving, people-pleasing, or feeling responsible for others at the expense of ourselves?
In this first Let’s Talk About It session of 2026, we’ll explore how greatness can quietly become tied to codependent patterns—where worth is measured by sacrifice, availability, or being needed—and how redefining greatness can open the door to healthier boundaries, clarity, and self-respect.This community-led town hall invites honest conversation around questions like:
When did being “great” start meaning overextending yourself? How do codependent patterns show up in work, family, friendships, or caregiving? What do boundaries actually protect in our relationships and sense of self? What might greatness look like if it included rest, reciprocity, and choice?
If you’ve ever felt torn between being “great” and being well, this conversation is for you.
Come ready to reflect, listen, and participate—only as much as you feel comfortable.
This year, Let’s Talk About It is accepting donations to support the ongoing work and impact of our conversational wellness programs. If you’re able to give, thank you—but please don’t let that stop you from coming. Your presence matters.
Let’s Talk About It is a community-centered conversation series designed to foster honest dialogue, reflection, and connection. These gatherings create safe, trusting spaces where adults can share experiences, discuss wellness, identity, life challenges, and build relationships that strengthen community cohesion. By encouraging openness and understanding, the series not only supports personal growth but also contributes to cultivating trust and mutual respect within the community.
