About this Event

Kiera Azar (Thorn Season) and Lauryn Hamilton Murray (Heir of Storms) are in conversation with Amy Mae Baxter (The Between Worlds B&B) to talk all things Romantasy to celebrate the paperback publication of Kiera's Thorn Season and the release of Lauryn's Tides of Fortune.

KIERA AZAR was born in Surrey, where she grew up acting, singing, and songwriting. She studied biomedical science before she wrote her first book and decided to pursue her love of storytelling. Kiera is forever excited by all the books she hasn’t yet read, the music she hasn’t yet discovered, and the story ideas she hasn’t yet had. Her first novel, Thorn Season, was a #1 New York Times bestseller.

LAURYN HAMILTON MURRAY grew up in Scotland writing stories about sad girls, secrets and storms. She holds a BA Hons in English Literature from the University of Stirling and a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Edinburgh. She is happiest when reading in the sun and hiking with her dogs, Huxley and Ziggy. Her debut romantasy novel, Heir of Storms, was published in June 2025.

AMY MAE BAXTER is editorial director at Avon and the founder and editor-in-chief of Bad Form, a multi-award-winning books magazine by and about writers of colour. She was named a Bookseller Rising Star in 2021 and a Big Issue Changemaker of 2022. The Between-Worlds B&B is her debut novel for young adults.

This event will be followed by an audience Q&A and book signing.
