Lecture: "Meditation and the Foundational Practices"Sunday 2 June at 4pm
Meditation is a major part of our Diamond Way practice. Meditation means "effortlessly remaining in what is."
Buddhist meditation is a precise tool of working with the mind. Its goal is to free one's mind from all limitations and to fully develop all its perfect qualities, especially fearless wisdom, spontaneous joy and active compassion.
In the meditation we engage our body, speech and mind. Regular practice makes everything we experience more and more interesting and fresh, and activity for the benefit of others becomes more and more natural and spontaneous.
The Preliminary Practices, or Ngöndro in Tibetan, are the practices we do in our Diamond Way centres if we decide to start a daily practice. They are a series of four meditations that build on each other and lay a solid foundation for working with our mind.
Our program is suitable for beginners and there is plenty of time for individual questions.
Lots of free parking; meditation cushions and mats are provided. The regular program is free of charge.
Please make allowance for a maximum of 90 minutes for the whole evening (times will vary depending on the day).
