Lecture – The Meaning of the Sangha, Michael Koenen
Saturday 8 June – 5:00pm
Buddhist Teacher Michael Konen, student of Lama Ole Nydahl, will give a lecture on The Meaning of the Sangha at the Perth Diamond Way Centre.
"The third refuge is Sangha, friends on the way. They are the group of people with whom we develop in our Buddhist practice. Surrounding oneself as much as possible with advanced people, and sharing similar values is important on the way. Developing together with close friends is simply the best." - Lama Ole Nydahl, The Way Things Are
Michael will talk about the role of our friends on the way to enlightenment, traditionally called "the Sangha". The functioning of Diamond Way Buddhist centres is based on friendship and idealism, with meditation being the foundation of Buddhist practice.
The lecture starts at 7:30pm. Please join us to find out more, ask any questions that you have, and take part in a guided meditation.
Cost - $15
