About this Event
Before the walk, I'll send you a link to join the Leaves Whatsapp group so I can keep track of who is attending and make sure we're all together to set off! I'll be at Hampstead Heath overground station (about a 12 min walk from Hampstead tube station) by 10:20am, and will send you a photo of me and where I am so you can find me =) we'll then aim to set off by 10:40am at the latest (message if you're running late!). The walk will last 2-3 hours, depending on our pace and whether you stay for the return journey down to the station.
We will walk up through the Heath, briefly going along East Heath road and then across to the Pergola and Hill Garden. We'll then wander around and admire the views, before stopping at the Golders Hill Park Cafe to use the loos and get a hot drink. Then we'll walk back in the direction of the stations.
It will be St David's Day, so I'll be sharing some Welsh tales and we'll keep an eye out for daffodils!
The walk includes quite a lot of hill, and some paths likley to be quite muddy. As always, we'll go ahead with this whatever the weather! I will come with some fruit, cereal bars and sugary bits - feel free to bring your own snacks/beverages/thermos too.
