🇨🇺 Eleggua and Chango with Maestro's Jesús La Rosa Pérez
Elegguá is an important deity, or Orisha, in the Yoruba religion and Afro-Cuban Santería. Known as the guardian of paths and crossroads, Elegguá is seen as a protector who opens or closes doors to different life paths and opportunities. He is the messenger of the gods and is the first Orisha honored in rituals because he has the power to clear obstacles and allow blessings to flow.
Changó is a powerful and revered Orisha in the Yoruba religion and Afro-Cuban Santería, embodying fire, thunder, lightning, and masculine strength. Known as a warrior, king, and lover, Changó is associated with courage, passion, and sensuality. He is often portrayed as a charismatic figure with an intense energy, wielding a double-headed ax and dressed in his characteristic colors of red and white.
These worskhops are soolo classes. You do not need a partner. We highly recommend these for any novice, beginner, or improver level salsa or casino dancers who do not have experience into the afro-cuban movements, but want to develop and deepen their movements and understanding of the afro-cuban dances.
