We at The Country Soul Sessions are always delighted when Laura B and Her Band, come to play for us. Laura and Her all-star band are one of the UK’s foremost authentic recording Rhythm & Blues artists. Laura B’s powerful vocal style is inspired by R&B singing legends such as Ruth Brown, Big Maybelle, LaVern Baker and Etta James. Yes Laura B ‘rocks' and yes 'she rolls' but she is more than ably backed by a fantastic seven-piece outfit that includes some of the finest R&B musicians in the UK and Europe. To date Laura B and her band have recorded three long players culminating in their latest release ‘Just A Little Love’ (Shack Records) in 2020. Having played at major events and festivals in the UK and all over Europe this is a great opportunity to see this amazing outfit perform within an intimate club environment. If their last performance at the CSS is anything to go by then don’t miss them as they were incredible!

The Moonlight Sirens
We are pleased to announce that the bewitching The Moonlight Sirens will be returning to serenade us at the December Country Soul Session. A unique, all-female five-piece outfit the Moonlight Sirens play songs from the 1920s right through to the 1960s. Combing sass, sophistication and just a hint of sleeze their repertoire includes forgotten classics from the likes of Joyce Green, Julia Lee, Margie Mills and Mamie Bradley alongside more recognised numbers from Ella Mae Morse, Esther Phillips and Ruth Brown. Siren lead singer Patsy Dee has assembled a group of talented newcomers comprising Karolina Zdziarska on lead guitar, Joey Hill on rhythm guitar & backing vocals/harmonies, Tomika Mitchell on bass and Meredith Brown on drums & backing vocals. Come and see them do what they do….
