About this Event
The 2nd of April is International Children's Book Day (ICBD), initiated by Jella Lepman in 1967, making it an auspicious date for IBBY and children's literature, and the perfect day to celebrate this wonderful collection of international children’s books, comprising 273 physical books from around the world.
The exhibition is facilitated by DCU School of English and DCU Library, and curated by DCU’s MA in Children’s and Young Adult Literature students.
The accompanying library guide for the exhibition was created by DCU's MA in Children's and Young Adult Literature students and comprises overviews of the books in the collection they chose to feature.
The exhibition will be launched by Liz Page, the former Executive Director of IBBY, and Valerie Coghlan, President of Bookbird Inc., the management board for IBBY's journal, Bookbird.
