Join Richard Comont, science manager at the Bumblebee Conservation Trust and author of RSPB Spotlight book on Ladybirds, to learn more about this colourful family of beetles.
Find out the difference between the common species you may find in the Midlands, as well as what they feed on through their lifecycle and what they all need to thrive.
This survey is part of the fourth annual Heart of England Forest Bioblitz where we will be creating a snapshot of the variety of species found in a specific area of the Forest during a 24 hour period. No previous BioBlitz experience or species knowledge is required to get involved.
Registration for this event is free however we would appreciate it if you would be willing to make a donation to help us to grow the forest and work on creating and maintaining a mosaic of wildlife habitats. This wildlife surveying event is not suitable for dogs to attend.
