Join us for a Wonderful Woodland Cyanotype Workshop in the beautiful surroundings of the Heart of England Forest.
Cyanotype is a photographic printing process which produces a beautiful deep blue print. This introductory session will show you how to create your own artwork using this fascinating, easy to use process. The workshop will start with a relaxing mindful walk in our beautiful forest to collect natural materials with interesting shapes to use in our prints. We will then return to base (either outdoor or indoor depending on the weather conditions) to use the material to construct a cyanotype print.
Your instructor Elly Joplin is a skilled fine artist and crafts person, previously having been an art teacher and now one of our Outdoor Education Officers here at the Heart of England Forest.
All the materials are included in the price.
At the end of the session, you will be able to take home your finished print.
Tea/coffee/buscuits will be provided, however, we also encourage you to bring your own packed lunch as this is full day workshop.
The group size is limited to eight to ensure appropriate tuition time per participant. Suitable for adults aged 18+ only.
Maximum number of attendees: 10 adults
Please note that a minimum number of attendees will need to be reached for the workshop to proceed.
Due to the process of cyanotype printing requiring high levels of sunlight , please be aware that we may have to cancel and rearrange the date of the event if the weather is poor.
