La Liga Habanera bildades i Havana, Kuba och har i dag sin bas i Sverige. Sedan starten har bandet låtit sin moderna och souliga take på kubansk timba (med inspiration från Buena Vista Social Club, Los Van Van, Beny Moré, Havana de Primera och Earth Wind & Fire) ljuda över både Sverige och Europa.De kubanska sångarna levererar ett kraftfullt och samspelt körsound, prytt med uttrycksfull leadsång och drivet av rytmsektionens svängiga afro-kubanska puls Blåssektionen är definitionen av tajthet, samtidigt som pianisten och basisten matar ut montunos som får dansgolvet att lyfta! 2024 släppte La liga Habanera sitt andra album.
