KWLT 2026–2027 Season Launch: Exploring the Nature of Power
This year, KWLT examines the nature of power—how it shapes, corrupts, and transforms. Some find themselves powerless within systems set against them; some let ambition consume them in their pursuit of control; and others reclaim the agency they thought they’d lost.
Our Main Stage season embodies these ideas through three powerful stories that explore the ways people confront and redefine their relationship with power—whether in love, society, or the self.
We’re also thrilled to share more about our new Studio Series pieces alongside the return of some community favourites. These smaller-scale productions give directors and performers the chance to experiment, take risks, and bring a fresh new perspective on how we can use KWLT’s black box space.
This event is more than a season kickoff—it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and the incredible talent that makes KWLT what it is. You’ll hear directly from the directors about their visions for the upcoming season, get a glimpse into other exciting projects for the year ahead, and have a chance to mingle, ask questions, and even to get involved!
