KWEENS & KINGS Glide FROM LEWISHAM TO PURFLEET (via Dartford)
Are you ready for road? This will be a fantastic adventure, as we glide from Lewisham through Dartford to Purfleet! Whether you roll up on your wheels with your crew or are gliding solo, come vibe with us on this exclusive journey. Yes indeed, its all about good times, great company, and smooth moves. Come show your kween or king energy and make memories on this glide ride.
Where are we going :
We are making a 36-mile round trip from Lewisham to Purfleet using the Bike Shuttle via the Dartford Crossing. Make your preparations and book your place now. As part of our London to Brighton preparation Ride, we are almost winding down now. So there will be No significant major hills to manage, just gliding along this intermediate journey in style and in rhythm.

The Route:
We will head out towards Lee, Eltham and Bexley and Dartford.
And once we get to the Crossing, we will make sure our booking is received and cross on the Bike Bus Shuttle towards Purfleet. Then on to Wennington and Rainham. We aim to take a Tea/Coffee break between Rainham and Silvertown, or in the surrounding areas on this scenic ride. We will continue on the North side of the Thames Path, back through Greenwich Foot Tunnel before we head back to Lewisham, where the ride will end. Please note: We may decide to reverse this route, meaning we might head for Greenwich first, take the foot tunnel, ride towards Silvertown and Rainham. Then get the shuttle back coming through Dartford, Eltham to Lee and Back to Lewishan. Either way we intend to enjoy the vibes.
Who are we:
We ride as a group of people, mainly from a African and African Caribbean background and as cyclists we ride together regularly, often with a structured schedule and we have varying levels of abilities.
Who is the ride for:
The ride is for adults only and we have a mixed ability within the group. We welcome new riders. On this ride there will be hills, but we are a supportive group. You can sign up for rides when they are published. If you wish to join Kweens and Kings Cycling Network, you will need to complete a registration form before you can be added to the WhatsApp group, and complete at least 6 rides over the course of the year to remain as a member.
What should you bring:
Your bike and helmet, appropriate attire for riding and weather conditions, and a smile.
We ride as a group, but please cycle carefully, and abide by the rules of the road. Your safety will be at your own discretion.
Please come prepared with inflatable tyre and/or pump.
Light fruits/snacks and water according to your preference. A travel card/cash.
