Audiation in Action: Understanding the Sequence of Music Learning Through Music Moves for Piano
What does it truly mean to understand music? In this workshop, Krista Jadro explores the concept of audiation and the sequence of music learning as defined by Dr. Edwin Gordon’s Music Learning Theory. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how audiation develops and how Music Moves for Piano by Marilyn Lowe applies these principles in practical piano instruction. Through brief book overviews and video examples of students at various levels, attendees will see audiation in action. The workshop concludes with ready-to-use audiation activities that can be immediately implemented in lessons.
This workshop will take place in Room 107 at the Royal Academy of Music. Please enter through the main reception and ask staff for directions.
